We know that the City of San Diego is all about sustainability. We are no different. Go Local San Diego is committed to sustainability, actively reducing our carbon footprint through eco-friendly practices, continually improving our processes, and minimizing waste.
Here are a few steps we’ve taken:
🌲 We utilize EDDM, a program offered by the United States Postal Service. USPS has set goals to reduce its carbon footprint by 40% by 2030 (eg, improving efficiency, reducing transportation, and acquiring more electric vehicles).
🌲 We are huge proponents of recycling. We believe having several businesses on one postcard, rather than multiple companies sending out numerous cards, saves on excess waste.
In San Diego County, we currently mail postcards to Poway, Mira Mesa, with Scripps Ranch coming soon.
If you have it. No need to go out of your way. Ad design is included! We simply will need some of the basic information so that we can design the ad using your existing branding and then adjust it until you are happy with the final result before we go to print.
As you might know, printing and postage can have a high cost. By grouping non-competing local businesses on the postcard, everyone shares in the cost to print and mail the postcards, greatly reducing the price for each individual business.
Solo direct mail campaigns can be much more expensive, especially when you factor in design, printing, and the ever-rising postage rates. Our goal is to remove the financial barrier by connecting multiple businesses.
Not with us. Our postcards are large, and purposely designed with local San Diego businesses offering valuable deals. It’s the kind of mail people actually look at. People keep them on the fridge or counter- and refer back to them when a service or product is needed.
Not at all. There’s no ongoing contract required. Although, we highly recommend doing at least 3 mailings in a row. Repetition is key for a customer to remember your ad and service. Imagine if you saw a billboard once, would you be able to remember it? Businesses who do multiple mailings find better results with repetitive advertising.
Once the postcard is finalized, it typically takes about 2–3 weeks for the cards to be printed, processed, and delivered to households.
Social media is great, but it doesn’t always reach local customers consistently. Our postcard puts your business directly into the hands of people in your community- no scrolling, no algorithms, just real visibility. Our Community Postcard could be a perfect way to have collaborative marketing alongside digital.
Yes! The 12X9 oversized Community Postcard is impossible to miss in the mailbox. It’s bold, full-color, attention grabbing design combined with it’s thick, solid feel in your hand will not blend in with other mail. This gives your ad high visibility.
Great question! We sort the each area by income and mail to the top 10,000 mailboxes by income. Additionally, routes can be selected in terms of quantity to maximize local exposure.
In addition to an oversaturated market and high operating costs, there are further challenges: hiring new staff, competing on prices and wages, securing access to funding, cutting costs, burdensome regulations and bureaucracy, and the struggle to retain good help. Marketing might be the last thing on your mind.
Helping you become a recognized leader or expert in your niche in your chosen area.
Assistance in achieving sustainable growth with a loyal customer base.
Taking marketing off your plate to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
FACT: 80% of posts never get seen unless you pay for ads. Paid social ads? Gone in seconds. But this mailer? It lands in front of eyeballs and gets read.
FACT: 90% of the mail is opened. This extra-large postcard is impossible to miss. It really will stand out when consumers sort through their mail.
FACT: Yes, but unpredictable and unreliable. USPS states there are nearly 2.5 people per household. This mailer could show 20,000+ locals your business.
No question, direct mail is an expensive way of marketing. The advantage of collaborative advertising postcards is that they are a fraction of the cost.
Customers don’t always impulse buy. With multiple coupons on the postcard they don’t trash the card. By keeping it, your business is right there when they are ready.
Only advertising when business is slow can put you in a bad spot. Consistent advertising keeps customers coming in year-round and stops downturns.
